The Kahimsug Health Club is a flagship wellness initiative of the Rotaract Club of Tacloban, promoting active lifestyles and preventive healthcare through regular community fitness activities. Established in partnership with the Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC) Department of Family and Community Medicine, the project encourages healthier habits to help prevent lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and obesity.
As part of the celebration of World Rotaract Week, community members gathered for one of the club's regular Zumba sessions, promoting fitness, fellowship, and overall well-being. Anchored by a five-year partnership between the Rotaract Club of Tacloban and EVMC, the initiative continues to provide sustainable health promotion activities and free medical services for the residents of Barangay Sta. Elena, creating healthier and more resilient communities through prevention, education, and active living.

The Rotaract Club of Tacloban, together with the Rotary Club of Tacloban and the aspiring members of the proposed Rotaract Club of SLSU, conducted a community immersion and needs assessment with the Mamanwa Indigenous Community in Basey, Samar.
More than a visit, the initiative was a commitment to listening, understanding, and identifying sustainable solutions to the community's most pressing needs, including healthcare, access to electricity, and livelihood opportunities. By engaging directly with the community, the club lays the foundation for future service projects that are responsive, inclusive, and driven by the voices of those they aim to serve.

Bagong Ngiti, Bagong Pag-Asa is a humanitarian medical mission of the Rotaract Club of Tacloban and the Rotary Club of Tacloban, dedicated to providing free cleft lip and palate surgeries for underserved individuals. Through the generosity of volunteer medical professionals and community partners, the initiative restores not only smiles but also confidence, dignity, and hope for a brighter future.
The mission successfully provided 24 life-changing surgical operations, giving beneficiaries the opportunity to improve their health, speech, and quality of life. This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaboration of dedicated volunteer doctors, Eastern Visayas Medical Center, Rotarians, and generous partners who shared a common commitment to transforming lives through accessible healthcare.

Officially launched during the 55th Philippine Rotaract Day in Barangay 107, Sta. Elena, Tacloban City, the initiative encourages residents to adopt healthier habits through regular fitness activities, health education, and preventive healthcare. Featuring community Zumba sessions and guided by healthcare professionals, the project supports the Department of Health's advocacy on disease prevention while fostering a culture of wellness, active living, and community participation.

In celebration of the 76th Charter Anniversary of the Rotary Club of Tacloban, the Rotaract Club of Tacloban joined its mother club in Ngiti Mo, Handog ng Puso Ko, a humanitarian outreach dedicated to supporting the Missionaries of Charity. Through the donation of essential supplies and medical equipment, the initiative sought to strengthen the care provided to the center's residents while bringing comfort, hope, and compassion to those most in need.
Made possible through the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers, the project reflects Rotary and Rotaract's shared commitment to serving vulnerable communities with kindness, dignity, and a heart for service.

The Rotaract Club of Tacloban proudly joined the annual World Coastal Cleanup Day, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship and the protection of our coastal ecosystems. Together with fellow volunteers, members took action in preserving the beauty of our shorelines by collecting waste and promoting responsible environmental practices.
Through initiatives like this, the club continues to inspire community participation in safeguarding marine biodiversity and building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future—one coastline at a time.

Through its flagship disaster response initiative, Project Bulig, the Rotaract Club of Tacloban immediately responded to the devastating fire that affected hundreds of families in Barangay 43, Quarry, Tacloban City. In collaboration with ADV Juansiksty (160) Eastern Visayas RT and generous sponsors, the club mobilized relief efforts to provide immediate assistance to those who lost their homes and belongings.
More than 500 pieces of clothing were distributed to affected families, while warm meals were served to provide comfort during a difficult time. This collective effort reflects the spirit of bayanihan and the club's commitment to delivering timely humanitarian assistance, restoring hope, and standing with communities as they recover from crisis.

LUNHAW: Pagtanum Hin Paglaum is a community livelihood initiative, empowering families to achieve food security through sustainable backyard gardening and financial literacy. Designed for relocated communities, the project equips beneficiaries with the knowledge and resources to grow their own vegetables, establish community gardens, and build healthier, more self-sufficient households.
Beginning with orientation and financial literacy sessions, the initiative combines sustainable agriculture with responsible money management—helping families cultivate not only crops, but also hope, resilience, and a brighter future. Together with our partners, we continue planting the seeds of lasting community development, one household at a time.

Lamrag ha Kaaraman is the flagship literacy and educational support initiative of the Rotaract Club of Tacloban, dedicated to improving literacy and numeracy among young learners. Through the establishment of reading nooks, regular tutorial sessions, and learning interventions, the project creates safe and engaging spaces where children can strengthen their reading skills, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
The project officially launched its Reading Nook at Bagacay Elementary School, providing students with access to educational resources while laying the foundation for continuous literacy mentoring. Beyond improving academic performance, Lamrag ha Kaaraman also serves as an avenue for identifying deserving indigent learners who may benefit from future educational assistance and scholarship opportunities—helping illuminate brighter futures, one child and one story at a time.

The Rotaract Club of Tacloban proudly welcomed District Governor Rozanne "Twinkle" Gamboa and District Learning Facilitator Archie Gamboa during the official Governor's Visit, joining the Rotary Club of Tacloban in a day of fellowship, service, and collaboration.
The visit included a Brigada Eskwela activity at Manlurip Elementary School, the unveiling of a new road signage along the Bypass Road, and meaningful discussions on strengthening Rotary–Rotaract partnerships. The Governor's inspiring message reaffirmed the importance of empowering young leaders to actively serve their communities and participate in district initiatives, strengthening our shared commitment to creating lasting impact through service.
