THE ORIGIN AND FOUNDATION
The Rotaract Club of Tacloban (RACTAC) was officially established on February 19, 2019, as a community-based youth organization sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tacloban and chartered by Ferdinand Jorda-Sequito.
It was formed with the vision of providing young individuals opportunities for personal development, leadership training, and meaningful service to the community. United under the banner of Rotary International, the club began with a group of dedicated students and young professionals committed to creating positive change in Tacloban City.
EARLY PROJECTS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS
In its formative years, the Rotaract Club of Tacloban carried out projects that addressed education, health, and environmental needs. Among its notable initiatives were school supply drives, literacy campaigns, blood donation activities, and tree planting programs.
These projects were rooted in the club’s mission to uplift the lives of the underprivileged and promote sustainability. The club also began forging partnerships with local organizations and agencies, allowing for greater impact and reach across various sectors of the community.
GROWTH, DEVELOPMENT, AND VISION TODAY
Over the years, RACTAC has grown into a dynamic organization, continuously welcoming young leaders who are passionate about service and civic engagement. The club invests in its members through regular leadership training, seminars, and workshops that strengthen both personal and professional capacities.
The Rotaract Club of Tacloban actively participates in regional and district events, fostering camaraderie, cultural exchange, and collaboration among youth leaders. Today, RACTAC stands as a beacon of service above self, driven to #CreateLastingImpact and to inspire future generations through Fellowship Through Service.
